Glenn and Michael’s Chicago Lakefront Trail engagement session is nothing short of perfection! The epic photos by Bri Short Photography features this summer’s crazy Lake Michigan waves, a positively giddy couple, and a gorgeous Chicago sunset. We can’t think of anything better!
How We Met
We met in October of 2014 at a bar named Big Chicks. We both came with separate groups of friends that converged by the end of the evening. Little did Michael know that I told my roommates I had found the man I would marry. After some social media research, we connected, swapped actual phone numbers, and set future plans. Several months later we were seeing each other regularly.

Our Relationship
We moved in together after a year and a half of dating: we decided they were ready to take their relationship to the next level. We quickly became aware of our differences: Michael preferred to live in a home that resembled a hotel and I wanted to fill the condo with personality and make it feel like a home. Although this difference will never be resolved, it gives us both something to work on. The relationship is based on compromise, a willingness to talk about feelings (both good and bad), and an ability to truly hear one another.
The Proposal
I told Michael that he was coming to see The Lovettes add a new number to their show. Little did he know that I had other things planned! Family and friends made this a truly unforgettable evening, and I proposed to Michael with a full-on flash mob! Of course, he said yes.
