Chicago Gold Coast Engagement Session

The Proposal

Matt proposed on a cold and rainy April morning. He had asked me earlier in the week if I wanted to have our morning coffee on the rooftop of our building to kick off rooftop season in Chicago. When the morning actually rolled around, it was cold and raining. After some convincing, I still agreed to head up to the rooftop for a few quick sips of coffee. When we got to the door leading out to the rooftop, we found that the door was locked. As I turned around to head back downstairs, there was Matt on one knee. He had even secretly coordinated with both of our families to come to the city to celebrate with us the rest of the day! It was absolutely perfect!!
