We love the warmth and the beauty of photos taken during the golden hour when the sun is just about to set. Kim and Jake’s wedding at the Brix on the Fox was no exception. And, to make this golden hour wedding more perfect, their first dance was to Golden Hour by Kasey Musgraves, which was captured in all it’s glory by Grace Rios Photography. The Proposal
“Jacob originally planned to pop the question on a trip scheduled for summer of 2020 in Venice, Italy. He had planned to take her to the Venice Canals and propose while riding a gondola. Of course, no one could have predicted 2020 and Jacob ended up taking Kimberly down to visit her best friend in Nashville, Tennessee. They were planning to take a hike with their friends on a trail near some water falls only to find out that the trails were closed. Later they ended up going to a roof top bar called Ole Red in downtown Nashville where Jacob asked Kimberly for a photo overlooking the skyline and surprised her by asking the question!”
Their Love Story
“Jacob and Kimberly met during lunch at West Aurora High school. They sat next to each other and were both very shy. A couple years later they bumped into each other and started dating on October 12, 2015. They share musical tastes and like to go to concerts frequently. With favorite artists such as Tame Impala, Circa Survive and Kendrick Lamar. Recently they have also found a new passion of traveling and have a favorite destination spot in San Diego, California where they visit frequently. They are both inseparable and love to live life to the fullest by experiencing new things together!”
Personal Touches
“We made our welcome sign with the bride’s father. We also made a custom vinyl jacket as our wedding guest book. Next to it we had an old school telephone from AfterTheTone where our guests were able to leave a voicemail with wedding advice or just to congratulate us. The company then put all of that audio onto a vinyl that we put in our custom double sided vinyl jacket. We made a custom newspaper as our wedding info for guests to take.”-Kimberly & Jacob
