“Ladies, if you’re on the fence about doing a first look, let me push you over the edge. DO IT! I couldn’t imagine waiting until the ceremony to see Ian. We got to take our time be on our own and really absorb the feelings and moments that this day was finally here. It was a great moment beyond just capturing his initial reaction to a dress that I spent hours looking for and hours getting ready. It was a time to celebrate that after a year of planning this day was here. Seeing him for during our first look was the moment it hit home that this was our wedding day.”-Tiffany

A Customizable Party
“I was blown away by their (Ravenswood) food! While the venue itself sold us on having our wedding located here, Ian and I really loved the idea that we were able to customize our wedding menu. At first it was incredibly overwhelming being told that they could literally make anything we wanted, but with the guidance of Allie, our wedding coordinator, we really embraced how we were able to cater the food to our personalities and preferences. We were able to include nods to my Vietnamese heritage with some bao buns and feature some of our favorite date night dishes with Stephanie Izzard’s magic green beans, hanger steak and risotto. Beyond their incredible catering capabilities, the staff onsite day of made the day run without a hitch. The team knew I was really concerned about guests arriving late with Friday Chicago traffic, but the staff coordinated with the transportation company so well to anticipate arrival and shuffled our ceremony start time to ensure guests were in their seats. They were also so phenomenal working with me to surprise Ian with a live guitarist to perform during dinner. As well as worked with my family to surprise me with a photo slideshow of childhood photos of me during my father’s speech.”-Tiffany and Ian
