The Proposal Story
“We were pandemic newlyweds. Cody had planned to propose right around my birthday in April. He and my sister planned this whole surprise birthday party/engagement party here in the city at Kaiser Tiger. But things quickly changed when the world went into lockdown mode.
A month before my birthday, I was studying for my Series 7 for work, when Cody told me to come into the living room. Of course I was in study mode so stopping was not something I wanted to do. I opened the door into our living room and the entire floor was filled with rose pedals and music in the background. The next thing I remember was Cody getting down on one knee and then it happened. I completely blacked out. He likes to tell me that all I said while crying when he asked me to marry him was, “OKAY.”
He had my girlfriends make recordings to show me right after everything and to be honest, I was still blacked out so I don’t even remember those. Needless to say, it was absolutely perfect!”
