We love a wedding that turns into the party of the year for guests. Maddy and Tyler knew that dancing and food were the priorities for their big day and from the looks of these photos, they didn’t disappoint. The Love Story
“Tyler and I met on hinge in 2018, we instantly connected over our love of the University of Kansas, where we both attended but never at the same time–we are 4.5 years apart almost to the day. As soon as we met we were pretty much conjoined at the hip. Tyler quickly met my family and became my parents’ favorite unofficial child. We attended 7 weddings together our first year together and even took a trip to Europe.”

Vision for the Day
“Tyler and I have been to almost 25 weddings together so by the time we got married we knew we wanted our wedding to be a party and really embellish who we are. Tyler and I love to dance at weddings and are huge foodies. So we knew that was going to be a huge priority for us.
We love Chicago but had many out of town guests, so we wanted logistics to be as smooth as possible with the guest’s experience being front of mind when planning.”

Favorite Moments
Maddy’s bridesmaids kept her distracted as she was getting ready in the morning, so she didn’t know it was raining outside. What a great bridal party! No bride should stress over rain on their big day.
“Tyler and I love to boogie on the dance floor. We actually were dancing in the middle of our reception when Tyler dove down to slide in between my legs like a snake (everyone was doing it, don’t ask!), except this time he knocked me down too! I caught myself in a plank position, but as he was sliding through he kicked me in the face and gave me a bloody lip. It sounds silly but we couldn’t stop laughing, Tyler felt horrible but I was completely fine, and we have some epic photos to remember our little dancing mishap.” – Maddy
Amazing Vendors
“We were obsessed with all of our vendors. Hard to choose a favorite but we continuously get compliments from people months later on our catering and band. Justine from The Get Together Events was also outstanding to work with and my whole family wanted to adopt her by the end of the night. Our photographers [Jefferson May Photography] too also were by our side all day and a source of calm among chaos (plus we LOVED our photos).”
