A Family Proposal

Cara and JP met each other through mutual friends but their proposal was a true family affair.

“Christmas 2018 we went to Arizona to visit Cara’s family. JP’s family decided to vacation there as well for Christmas and we spent Christmas eve with both families. We were opening presents when Cara’s nephew “found” one more gift under the tree. He brought it to Cara and the ring was inside. JP proposed surrounded by both families and the rest of the night was spent celebrating.”

Favorite Memory

“There are so many! The day was perfect.

One thing that I think was cool and stood out, was during our ceremony. JP and I were officially married in 2020 but had to cancel the large festivities due to COVID, so our big wedding was really our one year anniversary. The officiant, was a family friend, and he started off saying how this ceremony was a little different and that it was really a celebration of a one year old marriage. So typically even though the climax of the ceremony is the pronouncement of marriage, he was going to start it off with that and introduced us as Mr. and Mrs. Roth, and had us kiss. He introduced us again at the end, but it was a fun nod to the uniqueness of our wedding and the celebration.”

Advice for the Big Day

“My biggest advice is to hire a wedding planner. You have spent so much time and energy planning the details, having a planner there will allow you to let go and enjoy the day.

Wedicity really stood out the most. We had several changes the morning before the wedding that affected nearly every vendor. I was able to just text Tionna and she took care of it all. The night of the wedding too everything was so organized. I woke up the next day, wondering where my shoes, or veil or wedding items were, and walked around my room to find they were all there and neatly put away. The Wedicity team really took all the stress away from the day.”
