Christine and Patrick held an elegant summer wedding at Loyola University Chicago. From the luxurious florals by Yanni Design Studio to the classic black tie attire, theirs was truly a timeless affair. Wedding planning by Big City Bride and photography by Tiffaney Childs Photography.
Our Love Story
We met at mass at Old St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. We had our 1st date the next night at Piccolo Sogno and from that night on love was here to stay!
Pat proposed while we were in Mexico in Playa Del Carmen. He booked a private beach cabana dinner for two. We had candlelight and champagne with a photographer taking our picture. Next thing I knew, Pat was on his knee in the sand asking me to spend the rest of my life with him. Shortly after there was an amazing firework show over the ocean. Such a beautiful night!

Our Wedding Vision
We chose to have our wedding at Loyola University Chicago because Pat is a dedicated alumni and serves on the Board. The entry gates in Mundelein Theater inspired our wedding invitations, which had lace gating on the front and opened up to the announcement. Our cocktail reception was in the historical Piper Hall.
We represented Pat’s Irish heritage with a bagpiper escort into the reception. Our lounge area included a beautiful memory area with pictures of my father, who passed 5 years prior. The stained glass windows and 40 foot ceilings of the theater were perfect for our romantic, luxe, and classic theme.
Yanni Design Studio created a gorgeous custom laser cut bar top that replicated the lace of our invitation, and our cake from Amy Beck Cake Design was layers of beauty.
