How They Met
“It was all coincidence that we met! We met during the summer of 2011 and to this day, it is still one of our favorite summers together.
I’m originally from Kenosha, WI and I was visiting my cousins in Chicago. We’re still curious if one of my cousins intended to play matchmaker that night, but he definitely had a role in setting us up. We were on our way to a summer carnival, but before we got there, we had taken a detour to Kris’ house. Kris jumped into the back seat and that’s where he met Melissa.
We have been together for 10 years now & we can’t wait for forever more.”
The Proposal
“As an avid snowboarder, one of Kris’ favorite spots has been Colorado and I quickly fell in love with the beautiful scenery as well. What I thought was just a little pit stop to Breckenridge, turned out to be one of the most memorable moments of our lives!
The proposal happened during a group trip to Colorado with our friends Jessica, Chloe, and Corey. While they all knew what was going to happened during the trip, I never caught on to any of their weird behaviors! Except when my girls were persuading me to wear heels when it was SNOWING . Little did I know, that was just them looking out for me so I looked nice during the proposal photos (lol). We were on our way to one of my favorite spots in Colorado when Chloe had suggested that we stop by an overlook to see some beautiful Colorado views. I was very hesitant about the plan because it required some walking through the snow and I had already committed to those darn heeled booties. Luckily, I made it to the overlook to Kris on one knee and the rest is history!” Melissa & Krzysztof
