Sun & Jed had a classic white and green wedding with traditional Korean touches at Royal Melbourne Country Club. Photographed by Alexandra Lee Photography, if you’re looking for a wedding aesthetic that never goes out of style, look no further!
The Proposal
“Jed’s best friend and his wife owns a beautiful coffee shop in Elmhurst, IL called Brewpoint. The first time we visited a year before the proposal, it was love at first sight for me! The coffee shop has these tall ceilings and has the perfect combination of rustic vintage and elegance. He knew how much I loved the shop and so he had the friend invite me over just to hangout (not an uncommon thing to happen) – when I walked in, they had created a walkway lined with red rose petals and candles and he was waiting at the end with this beautiful wooden arch covered in roses! I almost thought we were getting married right then and there!
After the sweet proposal, my best friend surprised me from the back room (she had flown in from Atlanta) along with a small group of our closest friends. I thought that was the end but they took me to dinner where all our friends were gathered to surprise me and celebrate us! It was truly unforgettable from the very beginning to the end.”

The Wedding Vision
“I always knew I wanted classic, simple, and elegant. I always wanted everything to be primarily white with greeneries to compliment and give the natural look. The wedding came out exactly how I had envisioned it!”-Sun & Jed.
We love that the couple kept true to their style for their wedding decor! The ceremony space included stunning floral arrangements by Blooming City Florals as well as stellar drapery that created a gorgeous atmosphere for nuptials! Sun and Jed included the traditional Korean Pyebaek ceremony in their day that was captured beautifully by Alexandra Lee Photography.
Reception Details
There is no other word to use for the wedding reception decor other than classic. Gold chivari chairs, tall floral centerpieces and a beautiful, one of a kind cake by Oak Mill Bakery DJ Jay Funk brought the party to life and from the looks of it, this was one party you did NOT want to miss out on!
