We are thrilled to introduce one of Chicago’s newest bridal designers, Goli June. Goli June Bridal is a new label catering to non-traditional, modern brides who want wedding dresses and suits that are fashion-forward, unique, and wearable, all produced locally in Chicago! We sat down with Goli Parvinian, the founder of Goli June Bridal, to hear more about the inspiration behind Goli June and get the scoop on where you can purchase her debut collection.
About Goli June’s Founder
Tell us a little about you and your background. What led you to start Goli June Bridal?
My background has almost always been bridal. I love how emotional the purchase of a wedding dress is for the bride. I love the communal aspect, where she brings her mother, her friends, her key people, to make such a personal decision. A wedding dress is a garment that may reflect a bride’s sense of self more than any other.
I attended Columbia College Chicago, where I got my BFA in fashion design, and after I graduated I moved to New Zealand where I was a design assistant for a bohemian bridal brand. When that was finished, I immediately got a job for a bridal designer based in NYC, where I lived and worked for a year. I then decided to go to business school to get my MBA, but with a twist. I moved to Melbourne, Australia and attended RMIT University and received my master’s before returning to my hometown of Chicago earlier this year to start Goli June!

What was the inspiration for Goli June? What makes Goli June unique?
Goli June translated in Persian means ‘Goli, dear’. June is a term of endearment used when referring to loved ones and close friends. That’s the kind of feeling we hope to evoke in our brides when they work with us, that of a cherished friend.
Goli June was born out of the desire to make beautiful and interesting things for the diverse landscape of women getting married. I wanted to create a brand for the woman of all sizes, seeking something modern and wearable, at an accessible price-point. I also had the desire to build a fashion brand ethically, where creative professionals can be gainfully and meaningfully employed.
We want to create not only for the ceremony, but the reception, the after-party, the bachelorette, the shower, the rehearsal, brunch, your anniversary, and much more. Our pieces are special enough to leave an impact going down the aisle, or walking down the street.
About the Goli June Bridal Wear
Give us the details! What sizes will you create? How many customizations can be made? What fabrics do you use?
We create sizes beginning at street size 0-14, but we base our designs off of the bride’s measurements, so we can really go up to any size! The collection is comprised of stretch mesh and stretch charmeuse linings for that essential comfort and fit, as well as crepe/georgette blends, chiffons, silk and wool suiting, and our signature striped organza. We love offering customization options; we can do things like skirt and top swaps or adding a sleeve or a slit. Just ask your stylist!

We are having a pop-up shop on October 19th & 20th at Blumgarten flower shop in Pilsen! You can go to our website to book an appointment to come in and try the full collection.
